Q: What products can my Controller run?

All of our kits come with lamps, which plug into the output 12V barrel ports on the right side of the controller. Some of our product kits come with accessories, namely a radio and a torch. These charge through our USB ports also located on the right side of the controller. Users can charge feature phones and smartphones through these USB ports as well. As you upgrade with Amped products, you can run Solar Televisions and fans. The USB output features a High and Low power port. The high-power port, located closer to the face of the Controller will allow for faster charging and provide higher end voltage that certain phones need to charge. The Low power port, located closer to the back face of the Controller, can still charge the majority of phones quickly and is recommended to be used mostly for systems with 6W panels.

Q: How are multiple digits of Paygo credit displayed on the WOWSOLAR Controller?

Pressing the power button while the unit is ON will toggle the display down to the clock icon. From there, the display will show each digit of the credit value in sequence. For example, 15 days of credit will show as “1” then “5”.

Q: What is the warranty policy for the WOWsolar products?

The WOWsolar Controller is covered for repair or replacement for any issues such as low-battery capacity or manufacturing defects for 24 months. All other items in WOWsolar kits such as lamps, solar panel, or other appliances are under a 12-month warranty for manufacturing defects. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but not normal wear and tear or abuse. Warranty is void if the product is tampered with in any way, if the enclosure is opened by any unauthorized person, or if the unit is exposed to water or other liquids.

Q: How do I ensure the Solar Panel is working at its best?

It’s best practice to make sure that the panel is in open sunlight all day and not covered by any shade from trees, other homes, etc. A small shadow can have a big impact on the amount of power the panel can generate. Clean the panel regularly to prevent the build-up of dust and remove any material on its face.

Q: Does Amped offer sales and marketing support?

Yes. Amped offers partner marketing materials and a SPIFF program for volume distributors. Amped also offers Sales Promotion Activities for partners looking to increase Amped Product Sales. We can help support you with posters, flyers, and t-shirts to help you sell more Amped products
successfully. In addition to this, Amped has recently launched a Sales Agent Certification
program that is designed to help you manage your sales team and certify them to be
Amped Product Sales Agents and Technical Support Agents.

Q: Does Amped offer Financing help or support?

While Amped is not a bank, we do help partners find funding, whether that be through banks, grants, or other types of financing.

Q: If I can’t the answer to my question here - where should I go?

Amped has technical support teams around the world. All of our partners will undergo comprehensive sales and technical training and will be closely connected with our tech support representatives.

Q: How long should my controller be able to run lights for?

On a fully charged battery and with the standard number of lights:

Q: What happens on a cloudy day?

Like all solar products, the Solar Panel harnesses its power from a strong sun source. If it’s raining or very cloudy, the rate of charge through the Solar Panel might be weak or nonexistent. You can check the rate of charge by toggling through the controller UI to see the rate of charge denoted by a sun icon. The Amped system is designed to come with enough battery to provide many hours of lighting or accessory charging, so even a few hours without sun shouldn’t be a problem - but will affect the overall efficacy of the unit.

Q: How long does the WOWsolar Controller take to charge fully?
